Fredwreck is one of the most revered DJ/producers in the music business having produced and performed alongside numerous iconic artists.
Early in his career, Fredwreck used his time as a DJ on west coast radio to introduce his own remixes of popular songs to spark production interest from artists. He was soon hired by legendary producer Hank Shocklee, to be the Senior Director of A&R at Universal/MCA Records and produced everyone from Mary J. Blige to Al Green. Fredwreck’s name grew and soon Dr. Dre took notice and signed him to Dr. Dre’s label, Aftermath Records. This led to their unsurpassed collaboration on Dr. Dre’s self titled 2001 album.
Fredwreck went on to work with Snoop Dogg’s record label Dogghouse Records (now Doggystyle Records) and became a known producer on Tha Dogg Pound affiliated material. He has produced tracks from Kurupt’s “Tha Streetz Iz a Mutha” and his follow-up record, “Space Boogie: Smoke Oddessey”; both released during the period the rapper had left Death Row. He has also produced for other hip hop and pop artists such as Britney Spears, Eminem, Ice Cube, Westside Connection, Lil’ Kim, Hilary Duff, Xzibit, Nate Dogg, Krayzie Bone, Everlast, Cypress Hill, 50 Cent, Mobb Deep, KRS One, Dizzie Rascal, The Doors, and Patti Labelle
Fredwreck is just as respected as a DJ as he is as a producer and has toured and performed worldwide alongside Snoop Dogg, Dr. Dre, Xzibit, Cypress Hill, Kurupt & Daz, Nate Dogg, and many more. With his diversity, ability to read a room, and a love of many different music genres, he has performed solo, rocking the dance floor at nightclubs worldwide from Dubai to Las Vegas.
Fredwreck is as humble as he is talented and is constantly evolving as an artist in order to use his music and celebrity to influence his fans in positive ways.
