Music maturity came swiftly and naturally for Nicholas Furlong, better known as RAS. By the age of 25, the multi-talented songwriter, producer, and DJ had already made his mark in music collectively selling millions of records worldwide, and working with a large number of major recording artists including Jordin Sparks, Big Time Rush, The Wanted, and Colbie Caillat.
RAS has spent much of the last two years climbing the ranks to becoming one of the most well-known songwriters in Dance music. He made his Dance debut writing hits like Diplo’s ”No Problem” and Steve Aoki’s “Singularity”. Shortly after, RAS made his vocal debut, featuring on NEZZO & Summer School’s single “Shadows”, released on Dim Mak Records, which peaked at number 23 on Beatport’s Electronica charts. The song was written with Matthew Koma, songwriter and vocalist of the hit “Spectrum”, by Zedd.
RAS recently partnered with Ustream.tv where he broadcasts a live DJ set each week, which includes his previous and future releases, on the home page of their site. He decided tocontinue doing the show each week after an overwhelming 20,000 viewers tuned into his very first broadcast. Now RAS is putting his stamp on Dance music, having written and featured on several releases with artists like Steve Aoki, Martin Solveig, Walden, Protohype, Dzeko & Torres, and Deorro.
